Belly Balm

by Joshana McMahon |

What's different about your skin now that you're pregnant? Probably a whole lot. So, why not give it a little loveI love!!

Here's an easy and natural DIY project to help your skin glow! Especially that beautiful belly!

*I found all of my supplies at The Soap Dispensary on Main Street in Vancouver.

Belly Balm

  • 1 fluid oz of Almond oil (about 2 tbsp)
  • ½ cup (2 oz) Coconut oil
  • ½ cup (2 oz) Shea butter
  • ½ cup (2 oz) Cocoa butter
  • ½ cup (2 oz) Pure beeswax

Directions:

Grate/shave the cocoa butter and beeswax.

Measure the ingredients into a glass bowl.

Then melt them together over a double broiler. Best to use a wooden spoon for mixing. The beeswax will take the longest, but be patient.

When everything is melted you can pour the liquid into your container or containers depending on the size. I used these paper push up style tubes and was able to make 4. This would also be great in tins. Let them cool and you’re done!

The balm has a lovely cocoa scent to it! If you like, you could easily sent it with essential oils. Make sure to check which essential oils are okay to use during pregnancy.

Great for baby bumps and everyone else in the family too!

Enjoy!
